DM/BW-042 – Rainen – 1006m

November 06, 2015: 13:45 – 14:10 UTC

Rig: KX3 / 5W, 2200mAh LiPo, Palm Pico Paddle
Ant: inverted V up 7m on a GRP Pole

32 CW QSOs on 30m.

Due to the unusual warm and sunny weather I took a day off and went hiking. Activation of three summits was planned: DM/BW-228, -038 and 042.

Rainen was the last summit of the day. It is completely covered with trees and there is no spectacular view. However, there was an open spot close to the summit and propagation seemed to be very good. Many signals were above S9.
